We are constantly developing and improving our ever popular Platter range to meet the needs and requests of our loyal customers. Not only do we offer the original range of freshly made and baked Sandwiches and Snacks, we have now extended the range to include a wider variety of products suitable for vegetarians or those looking for a high protein punch to complement their exercise plan.

We want to share some of our fabulous products made exclusively at our Deli and Butchers in Helmsley with customers throughout our Yorkshire shops. So new for 2018 is a fantastic range of 'Fresh from our Deli' and 'Fresh from our Butchers'. We take the same care and attention when making and selecting these products, so you can be guaranteed the same freshness and quality you have come expect from Thomas the Baker.

Our Deli Sausage Rolls made using our Award Winning Cumberland Sausage recipe and Black Pudding Sausage Rolls are now available to order instore or online. You can also select Honey Roasted Cheshire Oaks Ham or Boiled Ham sliced or whole as well as a range of tasty Quiches freshly baked that morning. When he's not globetrotting, Trevor our in-house Chef can be found in his bright new kitchen creating fabulous dishes and delights. Many of these have proved to be so popular, word has spread and they are now in great demand in our other shops. So much so that we are making them available to order online so all of Yorkshire can enjoy his creations, not just Helmsley folk!

But it's not just Trev, Michael and his team of skilled butchers also have a flair for delicious dishes. They are always on hand to give advice and assistance on the best ways of cooking and presenting meat dishes. So much so that they now make a range of freshly prepared meals, ready to pop straight in your oven – they are so good, you don't even have to tell your family or friends you didn't make it yourself – they'll never know!

Commitment to local sourcing

We try our hardest to source our products and ingredients as locally as possible. A few great examples of this are the locally produced Beers and Ciders. Beers from the 'Helmsley Brewing Company' produced by Kyle and his team using everything from Yorkshire malts to local honey. Award winning Cider from 'Ampleforth Abby' produced by the Benedictine Monks and made with apples from their own 200 year old orchards.

Virtually all the meats sold in our Butchery and used in many of our Deli products is sourced locally from 'R and J Yorkshires Finest Farmers and Butchers' Very much a family affair based in Kirkby Malzeard just outside Ripon. 5th generation Ryan and his mum and dad not only maintain their own herd of cattle and sheep, they source the rest of their beef, pork and many other meats from cooperatives of local farmers thus ensuring short travel distances and maintaining the best standards of animal welfare. R&J have a fabulous reputation for selling only the best meat in the industry and are the supplier of choice for many of the award winning and high end restaurants and pubs in the region.
